Description
I am a person with wide range of knowledge and experiences in care, a jovial and empathetic individual. In my daily role I provide support which assisting individuals fulfilling life and helping to maximise their independence and wellbeing, to improve their quality of life which has positive outcomes.
I work in health and social care for several years, and has a role as a senior, this gives me the opportunity to work alongside Occupational therapies, physiotherapists, psychologist and General practitioners. I work consistently with the professionals in order to have continuity in the care of the individual.
I work on referrals with the discharge team from hospitals. I do assess individuals in their homes, which can involve adaptations to met ones changing needs and maximising their independence. Administering medications is also another area which I do in practice and also ensuring person centred approach is included.
I have a qualification in NVQ level 4 health and social care, excellent communication and numerical skills.
Skills and experiences I have developed through practices and training which includes safeguarding, basic first aid, manual handling to name a few. This has given me the strength and abilities to always thrive in helping others to achieve and improve quality of life and well-being.
I aim to respect and value the rights of individuals I support and work with, also respect ones culture and belief.
